This new multimeter from KASUNTEST arrived attractively presented in a mid range product box inside of which was the meter itself, waterproof carry bag,two sets of probes and a User Guide. The User Guide is well written and easy to read and I append a copy to my unboxing video. The multimeter seems well made and robust and capable of surviving knocks when in use and in the workbox. It has a large monochrome screen with switchable backlight and current reading hold feature. Batteries are supplied pre installed, which is handy, and are the easily replaced AAA type. At 130 x 65mm and weighing 130g it is large enough not to easily lose but small enough to fit in the pocket.
The multimeter is perhaps aimed more at general purpose use rather than for the professional but it is still well specified enough for most jobs. Looking at the specifications printed on this page it seems capable of dealing with most household and garage device readings. The large and clear backlit display makes using it easy even in dark and the large click stopped dial makes using it in a confined space easy too.
This is a well made entry level multimeter and at the current discounted price of £21.99 is a very tempting purchase.
