Huge fancy buildings with very few people inside perfectly manicured gardens and boulevards with nobody on them and this eerie feeling that someone is watching over my shoulder 24/7. TURKMENISTAN IS WEIRD. People had told me that Ashgabat was strange, but I had no idea to what extent it was until arriving here....
